The MINPLUS project – activated within the framework of the trans-border cooperation program INTERREG – aims to develop a model of community governance for the reception and integration of people seeking international protection on both sides of the Italian-Swiss border. In the border areas of the Piedmont region and canton of Ticino, the migratory phenomenon affects mountain and frontier areas, made up of small and very small towns and villages, in which it is essential to discuss issues like diversity and inclusion. MINPLUS aims at developing a model able to manage legal, financial and organisational aspects of the reception and accompaniment of people seeking asylum, with a specific focus on unaccompanied minors.

Within the framework of MINPLUS, Codici’s researchers oversee a process of research-action and the shared drafting of the trans-border guidelines for the governance of reception and of the processes of integration.
