Cristina Cavallo

She holds a PhD in Sociology and Methodology of Social Research from the University of Milan and the University of Turin, she was awarded an MA in Political Science, specialising in Labour Science. As a researcher, she has worked on migration, social inequality and schools, focusing on transitions and school choices within public education.

Between 2017 and 2018, she collaborated with the University of Milano-Bicocca and the SPI-Cgil for a study based on foreign people growing old in Milan. Born and raised in Sicily, she has lived in Rome, Lisbon and Barcelona, arriving in Milan in 2011.

She is a transfeminist, antiracist and antifascist, and she enjoys drawing aimlessly. She became a partner of the cooperative in 2018 and was a board of directors member between 2019 and 2022. With Codici, she works as a researcher, supervisor and evaluator on migration, educational disadvantage, inclusion, and participative methods.
