Valentina Vivona

Her career started when, as a 14-year-old, she collected signatures against the felling of the trees in her high school courtyard. Uncertain about what to choose between a degree in history, in maths, or performance arts, she went for Political Science. She then graduated as fast as possible to make up for the disappointment in her final choice.

She granted herself a year abroad, during which she worked as a Mae-Crui intern at the Italian embassy in Sarajevo, Bosnia Herzegovina. In those few months of intense work, she understood she wanted to work on analysing and narrating social and environmental issues in Europe.

She graduated with honours in Economy of Environment and Development and, for the last twelve years, she has combined self-employed work as a journalist (proudly not registered to the Order) with supporting communicative efforts for several third-sector organisations. Since April 2022, she has been a part of the communications team at Codici.
